Recreational Gold Prospecting Sites in Oregon:
Quartzville Recreation Corridor
A large section of Quartzville creek is open to public gold prospecting. While the area has
been heavily worked even a beginner should have no problem finding some color in their pan.
Camping is available at Yellow Bottom Campground (for a fee) and at designated camp spots
along the road (free). The recreational area extends for a couple miles upstream several
miles downstream of Yellow Bottom Campground, look for the signs.

I havn't personally been to all of these locations and while I try to research and present accurate information I can't guarantee it.
It is necessary to throughly research any location you intend to visit before leaving home. Local clubs are a great source of information
as well as State, BLM and/or Forest Service offices.
